At the second stage, customers must watch an educational video before gambling again.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What Triggers An Account Review<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Operators must assess accounts with deposits exceeding $10,000 in 24 hours or $100,000 over 90 days, or turnover reaching $1 million within 90 days.<\/p>\n<p>Behavior also counts. Triggers include three visits to the self-exclusion page within 30 days without registering, three canceled withdrawals in 10 days, or a second cooling-off request within 45 days. A 50% increase in login time compared with the preceding two weeks also requires attention.<\/p>\n<p>However, meeting a threshold does not automatically establish a gambling problem. Operators must assess individual circumstances before adding customers to a monitoring list and determining the appropriate intervention.<\/p>\n<p>DGE Interim Director Mary Jo Flaherty said the requirements would \u201censure early intervention and support, tiered to individual need.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Operators already followed responsible gambling practices, but the regulations create uniform standards that DGE can enforce.
