Allwyn formally became National Lottery operator in February 2024 under the fourth National Lottery licence.<\/p>\n<p>Allwyn UK Chair Justin King said the company now wants to build on that work and focus on future growth.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWith the major transition milestones delivered, now is the right time to look to the future and build on the solid foundations that have been laid to create a strong platform for future growth.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Vidler said:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cTransforming the National Lottery is a marathon, not a sprint and, with the major transition now complete and the National Lottery in a stronger position to keep delivering for the nation, this feels like the right moment for me to pass on the baton.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Allwyn UK priorities remain centred on modernising the National Lottery, improving player protection and increasing support for good causes.<\/p>\n<p>Walker brings extensive betting industry experience. He spent six years in senior William Hill roles, including online managing director and chief commercial officer, and most recently served as a non executive director at City Gaming Limited.<\/p>\n<p>Walker said:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI am excited and proud to be taking up the baton from Andria and joining such a vital national institution at this important stage of its growth journey.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>He added:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAs a long-standing National Lottery player, I know first-hand the difference it makes to communities across the UK and this is a huge part of what attracted me to the role.
