Revenue still edged 0.6% higher from the first quarter.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><strong><em>Good to Know<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Philippine Q2 gaming GGR reached PHP88.14 billion.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>E-gaming revenue dropped 37.2% to PHP39.85 billion.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Commercial casinos generated PHP45.37 billion and became the largest contributor.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<h2><strong>E Gaming Decline Weighs on Philippine GGR<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Electronic gaming accounted for about 45% of total Philippine GGR during the quarter, but revenue from e-bingo, e-games, bingo and poker fell sharply from a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p>PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco linked the weaker result to broader pressure on consumer spending.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe decline was driven by several factors, including the impact of inflation and the geopolitical crisis in the Middle East, which weighed on consumer spending, particularly on discretionary activities.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Commercial casinos provided the main counterweight. Revenue increased 2.9% to PHP45.37 billion, equal to roughly 52% of total Q2 GGR. Casino Filipino venues generated another PHP2.91 billion, down 5.4%.<\/p>\n<p>The latest result extends a softer start to 2026. Philippine gaming GGR had already fallen 15.9% year over year to PHP87.6 billion in Q1, also mainly because of lower e-gaming revenue.<\/p>\n<p>PAGCOR also reported a 26.6% decline in its own first-half revenue in July, again citing weaker electronic gaming performance.
