Revenue increased 3%, EBITDA rose 4% and margins reached almost 38%, the highest level in close to two years.<\/p>\n<p>President and Chief Executive Officer Keith Smith linked the result to customers choosing nearby casinos, along with recent upgrades at Treasure Chest and Ameristar St. Charles.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cOur second-quarter results demonstrated the benefits of our diversified business model, with strong performances from our Midwest &#038; South operations, online segment, and managed business,\u201d<\/em> Smith said.<\/p>\n<p>Las Vegas produced a mixed result. Gaming revenue among local properties remained flat as softer destination traffic affected the Orleans and construction disrupted Suncoast.<\/p>\n<p>Excluding those two casinos, Las Vegas Locals revenue increased 4%, EBITDA rose 3% and margins topped 50%.<\/p>\n<p>Downtown Las Vegas play from core and Hawaiian customers stayed consistent with recent quarters, though weaker visitor demand continued to reduce results.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Financial Officer Josh Hirsberg estimated that destination weakness reduced EBITDAR by about $5 million. Suncoast construction removed another $3 million. Boyd expects the travel impact to fall to roughly $3 million in both the third and fourth quarters.<\/p>\n<p>Suncoast work should finish by the end of the third quarter. A refresh at the Orleans will begin during the first half of 2027. By early next year, Boyd plans to have renovated more than 70% of Las Vegas hotel rooms and opened 17 new food and beverage concepts.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Online and Sky River Lift Guidance<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Online revenue and EBITDA increased through Boyd Interactive and market-access agreements. Boyd raised full-year online guidance by $5 million to between $35 million and $40 million.<\/p>\n<p>Managed-business EBITDA increased 18% after the Sky River Casino expansion generated higher fees. Full-year guidance rose by $3 million to between $113 million and $117 million.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStrong revenue and adjusted EBITDAR growth in our managed business was driven by increased management fees from Sky River Casino following its recently completed expansion,\u201d Smith said.<\/p>\n<p>A future Sky River phase will add a 300-room hotel, three dining outlets, a spa and an entertainment centre. Completion remains scheduled for early 2028.<\/p>\n<p>Boyd spent $142 million on capital projects during the quarter and $297 million across the first half. Full-year capital spending remains between $650 million and $700 million, including $300 million for the Norfolk, Virginia, resort planned for late 2027.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Profit Falls While Comparable Results Improve<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Net income declined to $131.2 million, or $1.75 per share, from $151.5 million a year earlier. Adjusted earnings fell to $144.4 million from $154.2 million.<\/p>\n<p>Adjusted earnings per share still increased to $1.93 from $1.87.<\/p>\n<p>Total Adjusted EBITDAR decreased to $350.5 million from $357.9 million. However, after removing the prior-year FanDuel transaction and tax pass-through amounts from market-access agreements, companywide revenue increased 3% and EBITDA rose 2%.<\/p>\n<p>Boyd returned more than $170 million to shareholders during the quarter. Share repurchases totalled $156 million, while dividends reached $15 million.<\/p>\n<p>The company ended June with $322.7 million in cash and $2.6 billion in debt. Traditional leverage stood at 2.2 times, while lease-adjusted leverage reached 2.7 times.<\/p>\n<p>Boyd plans to refinance debt due in December 2027 either later this year or during the first half of 2027.
