Most affected roles sit within central operations rather than betting shops.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><strong><em>Good to Know<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Finance, human resources, product and technology face most of the reductions.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Entain said higher UK gambling tax did not directly cause the cuts.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>The group also plans to reduce its interest in Entain CEE.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<h2><strong>Entain Reshapes Central Operations<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Ladbrokes and Coral owner said consultations with affected employees will continue over the coming months.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAs part of our ongoing focus on enhancing Entain\u2019s operational efficiency and agility, we have begun implementing organisational changes which will regrettably impact a number of roles across the Group over the months ahead,\u201d<\/em> an Entain spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThese changes will help make Entain a stronger, better business and are a further demonstration of our strategic focus on maximising shareholder value. We are consulting with all those affected to support them during this process.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Entain described the reductions as part of a long-term efficiency plan, not a direct response to recent increases in UK Remote Gambling Duty.<\/p>\n<p>However, higher taxes, compliance spending and tighter online advertising rules continue to raise costs across regulated European gambling markets.<\/p>\n<p>The workforce reduction follows other changes within the group.
