OPAP followed with \u20ac326.66 million, while casinos paid \u20ac61.76 million and Greek State Lotteries supplied \u20ac42.60 million.<\/p>\n<p>That tax split shows how digital gambling now carries more fiscal weight than its 38.8% share of total GGR suggests. Greece had 24 licensed online gambling operators during 2025, with other applications still under review.<\/p>\n<p>Remote GGR rose 10.5% year over year. Online casino games, poker and slots produced 59.7% of digital revenue, while fixed odds sports betting and virtual event betting supplied 40.3%.<\/p>\n<p>Land based gambling remained larger at \u20ac1.88 billion. KINO and other number games led with \u20ac711.3 million, followed by retail sports betting at \u20ac414.2 million and VLTs at \u20ac365.9 million. Casinos generated \u20ac268.6 million.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Player Controls Develop Alongside Market Growth<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Hellenic Gaming Commission connected seven operators to the first phase of a central player registry. The system will support player identification across licensed sites and form the base for nationwide self exclusion.<\/p>\n<p>The regulator handled 57 indefinite self exclusion requests during 2025. Men accounted for 84% of applicants, while 63% were aged 35 or below.<\/p>\n<p>Advertising spending reached about \u20ac130 million, led by search, social media, video, mobile apps and influencers. The EEEP approved 1,301 marketing plans and rejected 156.<\/p>\n<p>Enforcement also increased. Six blacklist updates lifted blocked gambling domains from 9,590 to 12,642, while the regulator received 586 whistleblower reports.
