{"id":10973,"date":"2026-07-03T02:47:30","date_gmt":"2026-07-03T02:47:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/casino-online-best.com\/index.php\/2026\/07\/03\/catawba-nation-plans-two-more-north-carolina-casinos\/"},"modified":"2026-07-03T02:47:30","modified_gmt":"2026-07-03T02:47:30","slug":"catawba-nation-plans-two-more-north-carolina-casinos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/casino-online-best.com\/index.php\/2026\/07\/03\/catawba-nation-plans-two-more-north-carolina-casinos\/","title":{"rendered":"Catawba Nation Plans Two More North Carolina Casinos"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Catawba Indian Nation used the first phase opening of Catawba Two Kings Casino Resort to make clear that its North Carolina gaming plan does not stop in Kings Mountain.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><em><strong>Good to know<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Catawba Two Kings Casino Resort opened its first permanent phase near Interstate 85.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Chief Brian Harris said the tribe has identified two more North Carolina casino sites.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>The full $1.2 billion resort is expected to finish in spring 2027.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<p><strong>Catawba Nation Eyes A Wider Casino Plan<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Catawba Two Kings now gives the tribe a permanent base about 35 miles west of Charlotte, but Chief Brian Harris told guests that more North Carolina casinos remain in the plan.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to around 500 tribal members and guests at the ribbon cutting, Harris said the tribe intends to build two more casinos in the state.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe got two more casinos to build in this state, and goddamn we\u2019re going to build them,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n<p>The locations remain private for now. Harris told The Charlotte Observer that the tribe has already picked the sites, but talks still need to play out before any public announcement.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI can\u2019t tell you that right now,\u201d<\/em> Harris said. <em>\u201cIt\u2019s all about negotiations. We\u2019ve identified the locations. We\u2019re in preliminary negotiations right now. And once those come to fruition, when we come to deal, we\u2019ll make an announcement.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Phase one replaces the temporary casino that opened on the same Kings Mountain site in July 2021. The new 24 hour property includes 1,350 slot machines, 36 electronic table games, 22 live table games, sports betting kiosks, a 68 seat restaurant, an 18 seat bar, and a rewards desk.<\/p>\n<p>The larger resort build remains the main project. When complete, Catawba Two Kings is expected to include 4,300 slot machines, 100 live table games, 11 tribally owned restaurants, 11 bars, and a 24 story hotel with 385 rooms.<\/p>\n<p>The job count gives the project extra weight for the region. Tribal officials expect about 2,200 permanent jobs once the full resort opens in spring 2027.<\/p>\n<p>North Carolina already has tribal casino gaming through the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in the western part of the state.
