The New York high stakes cash game player outlasted 456 entries in the five card pot limit Omaha eight or better event and won $861,287.

The result was easily the largest tournament payday of his career. Aharoni entered with 16 prior recorded cashes and one previous six figure score, a seventh place finish in a $100,000 high roller at the 2024 WSOP for $396,396. He now has nearly $1.5 million in recorded live results.

Aharoni also said the win came in his first WSOP event since 2024.

“Very fun. This is the first tournament I’ve entered in two years, so, you know, nice to come to the WSOP. I never play tournaments, so… very happy,” said Aharoni.

The $4,240,800 prize pool paid the top 69 players. Several bracelet winners ran deep, including Ryan Miller, Chris Brewer, Tyler Brown, Robert Cowen, Scott Abrams, Eric Wasserson, Gus Hansen, Mike Matusow, James Obst and David Benyamine.

At the final table, Scott Clements and Sam Soverel exited in eighth and seventh, while Sean Troha, Nick Schulman, Bruno Furth and Doug Lorgeree followed before heads up play. Aharoni survived a key four handed clash with Furth after a rivered flush kept him alive, then returned for the final day as chip leader. He later knocked out Furth, watched Aaron Kupin remove Lorgeree, and entered heads up with the lead. On the final hand, Aharoni made the nut low and held a pair of tens for the high to scoop against Kupin and lock up the bracelet.

Final Table Results

Place

Player

Payout

1

Daniel Aharoni

$861,287

2

Aaron Kupin

$574,168

3

Doug Lorgeree

$394,724

4

Bruno Furth

$276,471

5

Nick Schulman

$197,362

6

Sean Troha

$143,645

7

Sam Soverel

$106,635

8

Scott Clements

$80,773

Moss And Blumenthal Claim First WSOP Titles

Matthew Moss won Event No. 46: $800 No Limit Hold’em Deepstack Eight Max, turning a 3,903 entry field into his first WSOP bracelet and a $318,556 payout.
