The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau added rules for \u2018Monkey no Monkey\u2019, \u2018Pairs+\u2019, and \u20184\/5\/6 Cards\u2019 in a guideline effective from March 23.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><em><strong>Good to Know<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>The three newly approved side bets are \u2018Monkey no Monkey\u2019, \u2018Pairs+\u2019, and \u20184\/5\/6 Cards\u2019.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>The updated regulator guideline is marked effective from March 23.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Macau has been rolling out more baccarat side bets since 2024, helped by smart table technology.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<h2>Macau Keeps Building Out Baccarat Side Bets<\/h2>\n<p>The highest payout in the new batch belongs to Pairs+, which can pay 300 to 1 if both the banker hand and player hand open with pairs carrying equal point values. \u2018Monkey no Monkey\u2019 pays 50 to 1 when the first four cards dealt across both hands are all face cards, while \u20184\/5\/6 Cards\u2019 offers different returns depending on whether banker or player wins and how many total cards are used.<\/p>\n<p>The bigger story is the direction of travel in Macau.
