New Jersey regulators have fined DraftKings $32,500 for accepting wagers that violated state sports betting rules. The Division of Gaming Enforcement said the operator allowed bets on prohibited teams, accepted wagers after events had ended, and posted markets with incorrect participants.<\/p>\n

The agency highlighted several incidents, including an NCAA win-total market that mistakenly included Rutgers, WNBA bets on the Connecticut Sun in 2024, and volleyball wagers placed after matches had already finished. Regulators also cited errors in an F1 Austrian Grand Prix market and an abandoned soccer match that created further issues.<\/p>\n

DraftKings voided and refunded all affected bets, but regulators said the repeated mistakes justified financial penalties and reinforced the need for stronger compliance controls.<\/p>\n
