Steve Wynn Former Atlantic City Penthouse Listed for 2.2 Million

Steve Wynn once called this penthouse home during his time shaping Atlantic City’s casino scene. Now, the two-unit luxury condo where he lived while building the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino is back on the market—this time for $2,199,999.

Good to know

  • Steve Wynn’s former Atlantic City penthouse is now listed at $2.2 million after a price cut from $4 million.
  • The property spans 7,500 square feet and includes five bedrooms and six and a half baths.
  • The condo is located in Ocean Club, steps from the former Golden Nugget site.

The 7,500-square-foot residence at 3101 Boardwalk blends history with high-end living. Wynn, who later made a name for himself transforming the Las Vegas Strip, spent years in Atlantic City in the 1980s. He purchased a motel along the Boardwalk, cleared it, and launched the Golden Nugget in 1980. While overseeing the project, he lived in this very penthouse in the Ocean Club building next to the casino.

Although he once aimed to become a key figure in the city’s gaming industry, his run in Atlantic City ended by 1987 after several disputes with state and local officials. Wynn sold the Golden Nugget to Bally Manufacturing, which renamed it Bally’s Grand. The casino went through several identities over the years—Atlantic City Hilton, ACH Casino Resort, and finally The Atlantic Club—before closing for good in 2014.

Despite redevelopment rumors, nothing has taken shape on the site. The penthouse next door, however, remains a slice of coastal luxury ready for a new owner.
